🧭 Overview
EWS provides 10% reservation in admissions and government jobs for families not covered under SC/ST/OBC and with limited income & assets.
✅ Eligibility
Annual family income < ₹8,00,000.
Residential unit ≤ 1000 sq.ft.
≤ 100 sq. yards (municipal); ≤ 200 sq. yards (non-municipal).
Holdings generally within small limits (state-specific).
📊 Income & Asset Criteria
- Family income includes salary, business, agriculture & other sources.
- Assets of parents, spouse, minor children are counted.
🧑⚖️ Who issues it?
Tahsildar / MRO or other notified revenue authority in your district.
🚫 Exclusions
SC/ST/OBC categories are not eligible under EWS.
🧾 Documents Required
- Duly filled EWS application form.
- Income Certificate / Salary slips / IT returns.
- Aadhaar & Address proof.
- Property / land details (if applicable).
- Passport photos & self-declaration (as per state format).
